About the NVFD

Newark Volunteer Fire Department serves the town of Newark in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Newark is a town of approximately 581 residents, and more who vacation here during the summer on camps in the rural woods and on the shores of several ponds. The department responds to fire and medical emergencies within the town, as well as responding as requested to assist our mutual aid partners in other towns. Medical emergencies are primarily served by the local EMS/Ambulance provider Lyndon Rescue. We currently operate with thirteen firefighters, four of whom are also registered Emergency Medical Technicians, three junior firefighters, an Engine, a Tanker, a Rescue, and a Utility trailer. E-911 Signs

Reflective E-911 signs help us find your house in an emergency. GPS is not always accurate, and a sign points us to the right house when there are several close together. In the winter make sure that your sign is at least a foot above the snow line, and year round make sure tree branches are not blocking it. If you do not have a sign we make them for a $15 donation to the department, we will also install them within the town of Newark.

We could not serve our community without the support of generous donors, if you would like to support us, click the Donate button below or on the bottom of any of our pages to be directed to a secure PayPal donation page.
