Newark, Vermont is a genuine New England town nestled in the Northeast Kingdom. Located 30 minutes north of St. Johnsbury, and 40 minutes south of the Canadian border. Newark is home to about 581 residents, as well as many seasonal residents.  Newark is also home to several bodies of water, the most popular and largest being Newark Pond.

The Newark Volunteer Fire Department was started in 1982 by local volunteers. We are still powered by local volunteers! If you are interested in joining us, see the Recruitment page above

The department is also an EMS first responder squad, responding to medical emergencies in the town of Newark.  We provide first response and EMT assistance to our local ambulance provider Lyndon Rescue.
